PREAMBLE

The Blue Print Publication is dedicated to promoting sustainable development in line with the global group policy of Lagardere (Publishing). Through our strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we aim to actively contribute to philanthropic and environmental goals and establish a reputation as a socially and environmentally responsible company in India. Our CSR activities are separate from our regular business operations and are governed by this policy. These activities include various programs and initiatives aimed at achieving our CSR goals.

PURPOSE:  

The key purpose of this policy is to:

• Define what CSR means to us and the approach adopted to achieve our Sustainable Development goals
• Define the kind of projects that will come under the ambit of CSR
• Identify broad areas of intervention in which the company will undertake projects
• Serve as a guiding document to help execute and monitor CSR projects
• Elucidate criteria for partner implementation agencies
• Explain the manner in which the surpluses from CSR projects will be treated

POLICY STATEMENT:
The CSR Policy of the Blue Print Publication aims to tackle significant social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by marginalized and underprivileged communities. We align our CSR strategy with the Hachette UK & Lagardere Environmental & Philanthropic vision and objectives under the banner of “Sustainable Development.” Our approach is to incorporate solutions to these issues into the company’s strategies to generate social and environmental benefits for communities.

FOCUS AREAS:

In accordance with the requirement of Companies Act, 2012, JRF CSR Activities, amongst others, will focus on in order of our identified priorities as linked to our own work areas;

• Education: Our CSR initiatives include promoting education for marginalized groups, such as children, women, elderly, and differently-abled individuals. We aim to enhance vocational skills and provide livelihood opportunities through various projects. Additionally, we offer monetary contributions to academic institutions to establish funds and laboratories and distribute books to support students in their studies. Our goal is to support and empower individuals through education..

• Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women: Advocating for gender equality and empowering women through supporting NGOs, trusts, and foundations in establishing homes, hostels, and daycare centers for women and orphans, as well as setting up facilities for senior citizens. We also aim to reduce social and economic inequalities faced by underprivileged groups..

• Environmental Sustainability: Our organization is committed to ensuring environmental sustainability by supporting initiatives that aim to protect flora and fauna, promote ecological balance, and conserve natural resources. We do this by contributing to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that focus on green initiatives and animal welfare.
